As some of you might know, I am a former graduate from Esmod Dubai and all I have wanted to do is to be a street-wear designer. So what better way to get into the industry, then to get involved in this T-shirt Competition. This competition is by Pharrell Williams, my favourite male fashion icons of all time. I think he is a genius and I hope one day I get to meet him and tell him how much I appreciate his work.

To enter the competition and have the chance to get your T-shirts printed and sold in Pharrell's brand, Billionare/Boys Club. The runner ups get a i am Other t-shirt and Pill Speaker by Beats by Dre

• Watch Pharrell’s “HAPPY” music video from the Despicable Me 2 Soundtrack here: http://bit.ly/HAPPYvideo
• Create an original design for an i am OTHER t-shirt inspired by "HAPPY"
• Upload it here on i am OTHER’s Facebook contest page where fans will vote on their favorite entries
• Share your designs with us by tagging i am OTHER on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #HAPPYtshirtcontest
• Entrants can only enter the contest once. Multiple entries will not be counted
• All designs must be 100% original and cannot include any trademarked images (using the i am OTHER logo ispermissible)
• The contest starts on Tuesday, November 26th and ends on Monday, December 16th at 12:01am. The winner will be announced on i am OTHER’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Esquire Intern Events Report

Now that I am currently interning with Esquire Middle East, I am going to do a weekly report on what events I have attended and write about them. So for my first report , this week I was able to attend the first Hackett Store opening in the Galleria in Abu Dhabi. I was also invited to the Pierre Hardy Event on the same day,but I couldn't be in two places at the same time !!

Level Shoe District Hosts Event in Honour of Pierre Hardy

Designer Makes First Appearance in the Region

Thursday-21st November, Dubai, United Arab Emirates:  Level Shoe District, the world’s finest shoe metropolis hosted an intimate event on Wednesday 20^th November, 2013 in honour of Pierre Hardy, the renowned shoes and accessories designer, who made his very first Middle East appearance.

At the event, Pierre Hardy interacted with the VIP fashion savvy crowd and exclusively signed a sketch drawing for the invitees. He also presented the Fall/Winter 13 collection, and gave an exclusive preview to the SS 14 collection, giving the opportunity for customers to pre-order from the new collection. A very unique piece created especially for Level Shoe District, was also unveiled; made of suede and iridescent snakeskin is inspired by the slender arabesques of Alfons Mucha – figurehead of the Art Nouveau style.
