Around the time of my birthday, I decided to celebrate myself by treating myself to a photo shoot with Clifton Photographic Company here in Bristol. The experience was amazing. From the second I walked into the studio space, I was treated like royalty; being served beverages, while I was waiting in the lobby, getting hair and make up done by professionals and having an amazing photographer capture the the moment
Luckily, to start 2020 in the best way possible, I was sent the final pictures from that day.
Here’s how they turned out;

For the first look, I took inspiration from Sister Sister and That’s So Raven and kept it close to the 90s as I could.
I wanted to pay homage to the women from that era, as they helped me become the person that I am today,

This next look was inspired by Whitney Houston and the 80s era. Anyone who knows my style, knows I am big fan of funky and eclectic prints and the 80s was that year.

And lastly, I wanted to do something for my culture, which has a rich culture for women, especially during the wedding season. In Sudan, the bride has a traditional ceremony where ancient rituals are performed and she is dressed in red and gold. This is something I found so beautiful and I wanted to represent the beauty of it with a modern twist.
