Cover Drive Feature

Monday, 10 March 2014

Cover Drive is the newest "Caripop" band to enter the music industry.
They first started posting covers on their YouTube channel, which included artists from Rihanna to No Doubt. From those covers, it lead to something much bigger, which was their first single Twilight and their debut album Bajan Style. The Bajan band consists of 4 members; Amanda, T-Ray, Jamar and Barry.
What I discovered about this band is that it will make you feel like your chilling on beach in the Caribbean, without actually being there in the flesh.

I was fortunate to be able to ask Cover Drive a few questions so check out my short Q&A with them.

1.When did you start the band ?
We started in 2010.

2.If you could write a song for any any celebrity/musician, who would it be and why?
That's never crossed our minds but we'd love to collaborate with Bruno Mars or Damian Marley!

3.Who are your style icons?
I'll answer that question because the guys will say they don't have any! I love Gwen Stefani's style. -A

4.How would you describe your personal style ?
Tomboy chic. I like to wear clothes that are sporty and flirty at the same time. -A

5.What is one item you can't live without ?
We can't live without Netflix!

My Favourite Cover:

Bajan Style Album:

Limin and Limbo:

Weekend Lime What I love about Cover Drive, is the fact that every Friday they have something called Weekend Lime. For those that don't understand the Bajan dialect, a Lime is basically means a hangout, so on their weekly show the fans what they have been doing every week, as well as doing a couple of comedy skits on it :)  If you want to see what they are up to, make sure you you watch Weekend Lime every Friday !!

So if you haven't heard any of their music, listen to their album Bajan Style and their latest EP Limin and Limbo and become part of their fanbase , known as CDFielders.
