Vogue Italia Fashion Experience 2013

The Press Conference 

As some of you fellow bloggers in Dubai know that last night was the first time Vogue Italia did their own version of Fashions Night Out. It was held in Dubai Mall and many stores and events were happening all night from 6pm-3am.

The event was organized by Emaar Properties, Vogue Italia and Dubai Mall.

All proceeds and merchandise sold at the event  went to raise funds for Dubai Cares.

Dubai Cares is a charity founded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and the Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai to help promote children's education in developing countries around the world.

The press panel included Mohammed Alabbar, The Chairman of Emaar Properties, Mrs Franco Sozzani,The Editor and Chief of Vogue Italia and Tarig Al Gurg, The Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Cares.

I was fortunate to go to the press conference for the event , which was held in Burj Khalifa on the 124 floor.

The Actual Event 

Many events happened after the big opening show, which included young and emerging designers from across the region.The Vogue Experience is supporting young designers and showing them the right route to go in the industry.
More than 250 fashion brands in the mall were selling the merchandise and hosted a few events, such as Marc Jacobs, Versace and Level One Shoe District.
I was lucky and fortunate to go the Fashion Show and The Level One Shoe District Party and see Solange Knowles, who did an hour DJ-Set.
