As Halloween is slowly approaching, everyone is trying to decide on who they want to be. It can be anyone from a mad scientist to a vampire. But there is a story and a reason why they have been chosen.
This year I have gone down a different route and decided to dress up as someone from the Day Of The Dead. ("Dia De Los Muertos" in Spanish) This specific day is something in Mexican and Spanish cultures celebrates and honors our ancestors. Without their sacrifices and life choices, we wouldn't be who we are today.
Although I come from a different religion and background, I admire the message behind this holiday.
It represents togetherness, happiness, and love for the ones that are no longer with us.
