Liverpool Legends

Monday, 27 March 2017

As the daughter of a crazed Liverpool fan, I get perks such as going to games like Liverpool vs Barcelona  , which I attended this summer with the hospitality of Club Wembley.

Being able to go to these games with my dad gives me a chance to spend quality time with him, as well as creating long last memories.

So for this game, we travelled all the way to Liverpool to see  football legends of Liverpool play against Real Madrid. This included players such as Jamie Carragher, Michael Owen, Steven Gerard, Roberto Carlos, Luis Figo and Steve McManaman.

Mixed Media Scrapbook

Wednesday, 15 March 2017

After spending the past 8months continuously sketching, I decided to publish all of my illustrations and artworks that I have been posting on my social media in a digital scrapbook.

They artworks and illustrations include artists, designers, musicians, public figures and other creatives that have inspired and gotten me to where I am today. If it wasn't for these people,  I would not know all the knowledge and creativity I use on daily basis.

ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood 2017

    (images from Essence Magazine )

This year, Essence Magazine have honoured Issa Rae From Awkward Black Girl and Insecure, Aja Naomi King from How To Get Away With MurdererYara Shahidi from Black-Ish and Janelle Monae  and each of these women gave the most inspirational speeches that will stay with me for life.

Each one of these women have transformed the arts just by being themselves and I would encourage more women to just be themselves and embrace all that you have been given.

Urbanista's 2 Cents:

Since I have moved back home, it has been a struggle trying to discover who I am ; career, life and relationship wise and slowly, with the help of a few magazines such as EssencePride and Ebony  the people I know and knowing what I want, I have managed to slowly understand who I am and what I can offer to the world.

So to those women, who create the content for these magazines, I salute you and I thank you every month for inspiring me!
