Back in the DXB Groove for Sole DXB!

Guess who made it back to Dubai for the annual Sole DXB madness?! 

Although, I have missed a few live events throughout the years, I always try to make it for Sole DXB. 

It's not just about the insane music lineup, though Tems and The Roots absolutely killed it this year! For me, it's a massive chance to catch up with my creative crew – some of whom I haven't seen since the last time I was soaking up the Dubai vibes. It's like a big creative family reunion!

And you know my ritual by now! I always rock some fire from a UK-based brand while I'm out there, gotta show that love in the Middle East! But it's equally important for me to drop some coins on the amazing local talent in the UAE. Seriously, I've been watching brands like 5ive Pillars, The Rise Up, Sn3 Studio, Precious Trust, and loads more absolutely smash it from day one, so it's a real blessing to support their growth.

Already buzzing to see who and what magic Sole DXB brings next year!

Reunited in NYC!

From lockdown chats to the vibrant streets of New York City! 🗽 

It all started with a simple conversation, a reconnection with my incredible Esmod girls, scattered across the globe in Montreal, the USA, the UK, the UAE, and Ireland. We reminisced, caught up on life's twists and turns, and dreamed of the day we could finally see each other again once restrictions lifted.

Fast forward to now, and that dream became a reality in the most magical way! Our reunion in New York felt like time stood still for a precious moment. It was as if no distance or time had passed at all as we laughed, shared stories, and created a whole new chapter of unforgettable memories together.

From the trendy vibes of Brooklyn to the classic elegance of the Upper East Side, the dazzling lights of Manhattan, the bustling energy of Chinatown, and the iconic presence of the Statue of Liberty, we soaked in every bit of the city's magic. And let's not forget the food! Every meal was an adventure in itself. 🤤

These incredible women have been my ride-or-dies through thick and thin, my rocks during the toughest storms and my biggest cheerleaders during the brightest moments.

I'm eternally grateful for the unbreakable bond we share and for our commitment to keeping those lines of communication open, no matter how many miles lie between us.

December 2023/24 Updates

Yo! It's been a minute, but I'm back with a fire update on my December adventures. You know, that month where the weather gets frosty and the travel bug bites... hard! This time, it took me to two incredible places: the vibrant pulse of Dubai and the ancient mysteries of Egypt.

Sole DXB Reunion: Beats and Brotherhood

First stop, Dubai! And what better way to kick things off than at the legendary Sole DXB? This sneaker and music haven brought the heat, with sets from hip-hop heavyweights like Oddisee, Joey Badass, Soulja Boy, Big Daddy Kane, and Busta Rhymes. It wasn't just the music that got my heart pumping, though. Reconnecting with creative friends I hadn't seen in ages – a reunion for the books, you might say – made the whole experience even sweeter.

Pyramid Power: Wonders and... Watch Out!

Next, I ventured into the land of pharaohs and pyramids: Egypt! Seeing the Pyramids of Giza in person was mind-blowing. They were way bigger than I ever imagined, like something straight out of a movie. But heads up, fellow travelers: watch your back for scams. Unfortunately, it's a reality you gotta be aware of.
